airlines1Soon we may all see the Private airlines of India flying to Gulf as per ministry of civil aviation (MoCA), that if a carrier has completed its 3 years of operation. This policy will be approved to the airlines completed its 3 years in Airlines services in India.

“The government is planning to relax the norms for the international operations to three years of operations and 20 aircraft in its fleet against the current five years and 20 aircraft. The new civil aviation policy envisages this relaxation is irrespective of international destinations,” said government sources.


Gulf route is considered to be one of the highest travelled route by Indians and revenue the Government generates from these present airlines that is Air India, Indian Airlines and Air India Express is considered to be high.

At present only 3 airlines run by Indian Government is flying in these routes of Gulf. The period of their flying may expire by 2008.

The merged airlines of Jet Airways and Air Sahara that is JetLite is soon to open flying in this route towards gulf since it has already completed its 3 years of Air services, which means other private airlines will have to wait until 2008.
