 Jet Airchief got a clean chit from the Union government on Thursday. The government's statement came before a division Bench of chief justice Swatanter Kumar and justic Ranjana Desai, hearing a PIL alleging that Jet owner Nresh Goyal had links with the underworld.
The government counsel told the court the Union Home ministry and intelligence agencies had cleared Goyal's name. The court asked the government to file an affidavit in that regard. Jet has claimed that the PIL was frivolous and even the United States had given clearance to the airline to fly planes to that country.
