Air Deccan was founded in August 25, 2003. Based in Bangalore, it is the first low-cost airlines flown in India and now has many flights flying to different destinations in India. Due to its partnership with Kingfisher airlines, the Logo has changed and Air Deccan is now known as "Simply Deccan." The main reason why this airlines started was to allow every Indian to fly at least once in his lifetime, this was the dream of one who started this airlines, Capt. Gopinath.

The CEO of Simplyfly Deccan is Captain G.R.Gopinath. Captian Gopinath served in Indian Army and also graduated from National Defence Academy. He has served in Indian army for 8 years.
The main motto of Captain Gopinath was to let every Indian to fly atleast once in lifetime in an aircraft. With this in mind, he established Simplyfly Deccan previsouly known as "Air Deccan." Captain Gopinaths sacrifice has brought about a revolution in Indian aviation Industry with his low cost airline. He is also known as the father of low cost air travel in India.
The French Government has awarded him with Chevalier de la legion d'Honneur(Kinght of Legion of Honour) for his contribution in development of Indo-French cooperation in the field of aviation.
