 Delhi is the capital of India. Delhi is also one of the Metroplitan cities in India and it has 9 districts and consists of 27 taluks(tehsils). Considering the population in Delhi, it is turning out to be 2nd largest populous city in India, with 13 million people residing in Delhi.
 The water consumption in Delhi compared to other cities is high. The main source of water, supplied by Delhi Jal Board is 650 MGD (million gallons per day) and the remaining need of water is met by private and public tube wells and hand pumps.
Delhi covers 1,483 sq Kilometers of area and is situated in the heart of India, in the Northern parts of India.
And Delhi city has high literacy rate of 81.82% compared to other cities in India. The sex ration in Delhi is 821 women per 1000 men.
If you are planning to visit Delhi as tourist then the important places to be noted are India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Qutab Minar, Laxminarayan Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Chandni Chowk, Shanti Vana, Bahai Temple/Lotus Temple, Purana Quila.
